Growing Up Fast

I took some video with my new camera, but for some reason, my computer has quit wanting to edit video, so I can't post them here.  I've been slow about updating the pictures, too.

Dassah wearing a crown.

Dassah is a big helper.  Here she is helping feed Obi.

Obi is really getting big.

April 12th, we had a surprise birthday party for Shawna.  I got a video of Obi scooting all the way across the room, chasing a balloon. Unfortunately, due to computer issues, it's not posting here.

Dassah helped me decorate by blowing up some of the balloons.

She enjoyed playing with the balloons after they were all blown up.

Finished decorating

Dassah and Shawna

The very next day, Obi figured out how to get up on his hands and knees and started rocking back and forth.

Dassah has been fighting taking a nap lately and usually ends up falling asleep on the couch later.

"What? I'm not doing anything."

All bundled up and ready to go outside.

Missed naptime again.

Obi prefers to chew the side of his paci instead of sucking on the nipple part.

Dassah and Mommy planted a few seeds in egg cartons to start their garden.

Obi loves his Daddy.

Daddy is so much fun!

Oops, missed nap again.

So cute in Daddy's hat.

Another cutie.

Dassah loves playing with Simon.

Obi is really fascinated with Dassah's cups, so I gave him an empty one to play with.

Obi playing with a sunbeam.

We bought a few grape and berry plants.  Dassah helped Daddy plant them.

Look!  He can sit up by himself!  One day he was sitting up for maybe just 30 seconds, the next day he was sitting up for 10 minutes at a time.

He looks so sweet here.

Showing off her dusty face.

We were outside doing yardwork.  I looked over and saw this.

I had to circle around and get a picture from the front.

Obi is really enjoying the grass.

Mike's coworkers raise goats.  We took the kids out to see the baby goats.

Dassah got to hold a baby goat.

Obi got to pet the mama goat.

Big smile.

Dassah talking to the goats

Checking out another goat.

This mama goat went back and forth between licking the kid and licking Obi's toes.

Nice thing about baby gates...  You look away for 5 seconds and next thing you know, the baby is trying to follow the cat down the stairs.

ZZZzzzzz.......

Obi almost figured out how to get into a sitting position by himself.

We needed a recent family portrait.  I can't find that we had any since Obi was born.

On May first, we got 6 inches of heavy, wet snow.

We had to make a snow castle in the front yard.

After playing in the snow all morning, Dassah fell asleep while eating her lunch.

Yummy fingers!

Obi pulled himself up to a standing position against the little trampoline, then walked along it to Dassah's car.

A self portrait.  I don't do these very often.

Dassah wanted to sleep in her sleeping bag on her floor.

Cooking s'mores over the firepit.

Obi can get into a sitting position all by himself!

My little helper.

Napping on the couch again.

Cute "bed" head.

I love his little smirk

He really wants to be able to walk away from the furniture.

If you sit on the floor, you are free game to become a jungle gym for Obi.

A few more update...  Obi is crawling instead of just scooting, and he now has 2 teeth!

This past Saturday, Daddy mowed the yard, with help.  Mommy planted our garden outside, but no pictures of that.

After the yard work was done, we went over to visit our neighbor's chickens.  Dassah discovered she could catch them.
Kissing the chicken.

Hugging the rooster

Dassah caught this brown one the most.

Some of the balloons from the birthday party are still around.  Obi loves chasing them around the house.
