Easter and Snow Storms

"What are you talking about?  It's not a cereal bowl, it's a hat!"

"Whoa, this toy is cool!"

Learning the letter "A".

Enjoying some sunshine.

"Go high!"

Helping Mommy mark out the garden plot.

Swinging!

"I'm so tall!"

Obi got to feel (and taste) the grass.

My sweethearts.

I made Dassah an Easter basket out of plastic grocery bags.

Swinging.

A close up of Simon, just for Liz.
On Friday, we went to Mike's work for an Easter egg hunt in the nursing home section of the hospital.
Obi and his "Easter bunny"

Dassah showing off her basket.

Telling a resident about the candy in her eggs.

The residents enjoyed seeing all the children.

Dassah's loot.

Look!  It's green!  I don't know what these weeds are, but they're green!

Cheese!
After coming home, Mommy just tossed the eggs out  in the back yard and let Dassah collect them again.

Obi wasn't too interested in the eggs while outside, and when it decided to thunder, we moved inside.

Eggs!

Dassah is sharing.

Reach!

Or maybe she's hoarding...

Enjoying the sunshine!

What a nice day to be outside.

Dassah wanted her rabbit wrapped up in her jacket.

All dressed up for Easter Sunday.  (Oops, we lost a sock!)

Dassah's pretty Easter dress.

Look at how excited Obi is that Dassah laid down within reach!

"Toes! Toes are yummy.  I could eat toes all day!"
The frog prince.

I tried to get a picture with the color of his eyes.

And then a picture of Dassah's eyes.

We went out to the park for some fun.

I love his expression here.

Going down the slide with a friend.

The slide at our house.  "Ta-da!"
"Mommy doesn't know it, but in about five seconds, I'm going to eat a handful of dirt."

Obi is always so happy and smiley.

Playing with the baby in the mirror.

Another smile.

A fish dress!

Learning the letter "B"

"Yep, toes are fun."
If I position him right, Obi can sit on his own for a second or two, but usually he looks around at everything and over-balances.

Dassah jumped into the picture to hold her brother.

Giving brother a kiss.
Monday night, it started to snow.  We woke up Tuesday to over a foot of snow on the ground.  The highways were closed and Mike could not go in to work on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Helping Daddy shovel snow.

A handsome, hard-working man.  He shoveled our whole driveway out.

Notice the knee deep (or deeper) drift running the length of the driveway.
While everyone else was outside in the snow, this is what Obi did.

Here is what the snow looked like Wednesday morning.  We had a total accumulation of 20 inches with drifts of 3 to 4 feet.
The circular area is the firepit, completely buried.  The swings are buried in snow, too.
A closer look at the swings

No going through that door of the garage.

Remember the stump Dassah was on 8 pictures into this post?  It's about 3 1/2 feet tall.  Notice the snow drift on the right that's about level with the top of the stump.

Welcome to LaGrange!

So peaceful and undisturbed.

Snow around the school's dining hall.

A beautiful, snow covered tree.

Messy boy.  We gave him a bit of graham cracker.  He loved it.

I love how blue Dassah's eyes are in this picture.

"Mmmm, graham cracker!  Where have you been hiding this stuff?"
