New Friend

We've had some very unusual weather up here in Alaska. It was snowing all morning, so we HAD to make this guy after work. Like his 'hair'?

What's so unusual about snow in Alaska, you may ask? This is a very wet, packing snow. Alaska doesn't get packing snow. We get dry fluffy stuff that you can stir up with just a little breath. Also, it's unusual to get six inches of snow in April. Or so the locals have been telling me. We only used a little bit of the snow in our yard. (And we have a small yard.) With all the fresh snow, we could have made a whole family of snowmen. One's enough, though.

Abby loves your snowman! I do tooo! He's sooo cute! His "hair" and nose make me think of something from a fantasy story. You should write a story with creatures that look like that snow man but not melting...that would be sad if they could melt... You should email me some of your stories to read. I'd love to read some. BTW, you haven't emailed me your family picture yet!!!! I love it so much! I want one! Maybe I'll put it in my scrap book and someday when you are done having kids, I'll put a real pic of your family next to it so we can see how *similar* they are. :) Mom made one of her and dad. It's cute. I'll have to email it to you. not today though. I have a lot to do today. Just a little longer and i get to see Brandon again! Yay! I love you guys!
