Hadassah!

I haven't gotten around to posting pictures in a while, sorry!

I made Dassah some home made playdough.  She really enjoys poking it and shredding it.

Walking barefoot in the grass

"Sun bright!"

Playing ball

Her friend was chasing her, but when I told her to turn around and chase him, he started pouting.

Dominoes!  Dassah stood them up like this herself.

A sucker!  Dassah insisted on her jacket even though it was too warm to wear it.

I gave Dassah her first haircut a month ago (just the bangs).  Here is the before picture.

After the haircut.

I made a baby dress for Becky's baby.

I made a scarf that Dassah claimed.  Mostly I was trying to find something to do with some yarn I've had forever.

The scarf was made with self striping yarn, and I crocheted in some bobbles .  I tried to take a picture that showed the bobbles...

Hadassah loves to color.

Dassah put a pillow on top the cat and thought it hilarious.  Rista was not amused.

I made a toy net to get some of Dassah's stuffed animals off the floor.

We heard a strange sound one day and discovered a steam engine stopped on the tracks right outside Dassah's bedroom window.  We had to go out to see it.  Several other people from town came out, too.

Apparently it was a scheduled event.  Dassah panicked though when it blew the whistle as it prepared to leave.  It was LOUD!

I crocheted a fireman hat and boots to use as photo props when baby gets here.

I also crocheted a diaper bag that is bigger than the one I currently have.

A close-up of some of the pansies on the bag!

Look!  I lined it!

I made peanut butter sandwiches for lunch a couple days ago and since I emptied the peanut butter, I gave it to Dassah to clean out.  My mistake was giving it to her before she finished her sandwich.

Very intent on getting the last bit of peanut butter.

30 Weeks and Other Pictures

My baby bump at 30 weeks!

Dassah will sometimes find a jacket and insist on putting it on, even if it's stifling hot.

Packing a suitcase to go to Paw-Paw's surprise 80th birthday party.  The pictures from the actual party are on Mike's camera, I'll have to post them later.

What she did almost all the way home.  (Yes her glasses are upside-down, she likes them that way.)

Look what we found on my shirt.

Dassah didn't want to touch the praying mantis.

Daddy is planting baby trees.

The flash didn't go off so the picture is very poor quality, but Dassah is using homemade paints.

Laying down with Daddy

Favorite blanket.

Modeling a dress Mommy crocheted.

Trying on Daddy's helmet at the fire station.

Cutie!

We asked Dassah if she wanted to stand and pose with Mommy.  Not only did she pose, she showed off her belly, too.  In this picture, she's pointing to baby brother.

Big smiles!

This past month and a half, I've been keeping busy with crochet.

Ice Cream Social and Paint

LaGrange does their fireworks on the 3rd to keep from competing with the larger towns in the vicinity.  This year, for some reason or other, we were the only place in the county to do fireworks.  There was a huge turnout.  They start out with an ice cream social around 6.  A fire truck parked by each entrance collecting donations.  Dassah had to inspect Engine 1.

LaGrange has a new firefighter!  Mike asked her, "Are you going to fight fires like Daddy when you grow up?"  Dassah grinned real big and nodded.

Checking out the other parts of the fire engine.

The mural on the back door.

Eating ice cream, cookies, and cupcakes at the ice cream social.

Waiting for fireworks to start.  This is the first time Dassah has seen fireworks.  She had to be held by me, but for the first few, she was cheering and clapping.  She fell asleep about halfway through, though.

On the 4th we invited several people over to a BBQ at our house.  I never brought out the camera, though.  On the 5th we went over to her friend Isaac's house where his mom had a big painting project set up for them.
Clean paper and clean toddlers.

The first few strokes.

More painting

Dassah must have stepped into Isaac's paintbrush, she somehow got a red eye.

More paint!

So intent on her work

Painting her hand

The nearly finished project

I said, "Dassah, show me your hands."  She looked at them like "What's the matter with them?"

Once we were done painting, we sent them over to the swimming pool to "wash up".

More splashing.

"Washing" her face.  Eventually my friend and I brought out soap and scrubbed the toddlers down ourselves.
