Thanksgiving

First, just a few random pictures...

Dassah's a big helper. She loves to help Mommy wash dishes.

"Look at this cool hat!"

Napping is best done when cuddling a soft toy.

We visited the cousins in Colorado Springs for Thanksgiving. Mama Lynn and Papa were there, also.

Dassah is peeking through a heart on a rocking chair Papa made.

Mama Lynn and Emma

"Look at these leaves!"

Dassah's worried Isaiah will take the car. Isaiah's probably plotting how.

Playing tag with Mama Lynn

Mama Lynn is fun to play with.

Everyone wants to join in

Traffic is getting heavy...

We raked leaves in the front yard.

Ahhh... a leaf pile. So soft...

Stomp those leaves down in that bucket!

The leaf fairy

"Abby? Where did you go?"

More leaf stomping.
Let's climb a tree!

Dassah likes this little rocker.

Playing a game!

Getting some help from mom...

"I want to play too!"

I think Dassah's so cute.

Watching Emma color.

I really like this picture.

Michael and Papa Steve spent much of the weekend working on the heating system. They had a captivated audience.

Mike's Graduation and Cute Dassah -isms

I forgot to bring my camera in to Michael's graduation, so these pictures are off of someone else's camera. There aren't as many pictures as I thought there were.

Michael is so handsome in his blues.

This is a picture they showed on a slideshow during the graduation, showing Michael and his classmates.

The three of us.

For the people that aren't on Facebook, here are a few things from the past few months that I posted there...

Aug 15: At breakfast just now, Dassah said I love you, (Ah blove yow) then leaned over and gave me a kiss.

Aug 17: Dassah is getting so big! She can reach the doorknob (doesn't know to turn it yet), she can put her cup on top the kitchen table, and she can almost climb on the couch by herself. At least she hasn't tried to climb over the babygate, yet...

Sep 22: Dassah just waved and said "hi!" ..... She was asleep..... still is asleep...

Sep 23: Dassah already has a style. She found one of Michael's ace wraps and has it draped over her arms and shoulders like a shawl. So cute!

Sep 27: Tonight when ordering dinner, Sarah looked at the waitress, points to the item on the menu as she reads it, then looks back at the waitress. An observant little girl (aka Dassah) looks at the waitress, points to her color page and says something, then looks at the waitress again.

Oct 3: Yesterday, Michael and I were both reclining on the bed with Dassah between us. Dassah leaned toward me and gave me a kiss, then leaned toward Mike and gave him a kiss. She did that several times, giving us both about a dozen kisses, right after the other.

Oct 10: Dassah turned a summersault... Off the bed.

Oct 16: I was lying on the floor and Dassah was standing nearby. I asked, "What's Mommy doing on the floor?" Dassah answered, "Uh-oh!"

Oct 22: Dassah saw a picture of Michael's mom (Gramama) and exclaimed "Mamama!"

Oct 26: Dassah was holding a baby doll and talking to it. I asked, "Is that your baby?" She looked at me and said "Shh!" then proceeded to lay the baby down and pat its tummy while telling it "shhhh."

Nov 1: I've been trying to teach Dassah to say "more, please," when her cup is empty. Today for the first time, she handed her cup to me and said, "Pea, pea."

Nov 2: Out of curiosity, I was counting the words that I knew Dassah can say... Including animal sounds, she says around 50 words. I have a smart toddler. ♥

Nov 4: Dassah was spinning in circles in the living room while saying "wheee!" She got to the point where she couldn't even stand up, she was so dizzy.

Current Happenings

Michael's school with the Air Force is finally over! On Saturday September 17th, Hadassah had her first plane ride, flying from Denver to Dallas for the last two weeks of his school.

Dassah is looking out the window at all the airplanes.

Talking to Mommy's phone.

Our plane is at the gate!

DADDY!!!!!

Dassah earned her wings! She fell asleep almost immediately and slept almost the entire flight.

Trying to drink out of an empty root beer bottle.

Naps are so nice.

We kept Dassah's clothes in the suitcase and she emptied it out for us several times.

Playgrounds are so fun!

Daddy's helping Dassah swing.

After we put sunscreen in Dassah's hair, she had a wild hairdo.

Even cooler with sunglasses.

"Can YOU touch your toes?"

Story time with Daddy.

Almost able to do a somersault!

"Look at all my pretties!" Six necklaces, three rings, two bracelets... I don't remember, but I think she had a bracelet around her ankle, too.

Wearing a hard hat at Daddy's school on Daddy's graduation day. Graduation pics will be on a different post, I don't have them ready for this one.

"This hat doesn't quite fit right."
After Michael's graduation, we stayed a few days at Rachel and Preston's house.

"Wheeee! Daddy is so fun!"

A chocolate chip beauty mark.

Look at that cute little pony tail!

"Look, Mommy! I can do this slide all by myself!"

We dressed Lexi and Dassah alike, but they were having a feud and would NOT get close to each other without screaming. So, no pictures of "identical" cousins.

"I can almost get this to work!"

"Look! I found a hat!"

The only other picture I have of them side by side.

After we arrived home, we immediately turned around and drove to Idaho for a surprise visit to Michael's family.

"See, Aunt Anna, my Daddy is so fun!"

Shawna made pancakes and let Dassah lick the spoon.

Justine let Dassah help her play the piano.

Story time with Shawna and Anna.

From here on out, my camera battery was dead, so I took these pictures off of Justine's Facebook page.
