Labor Day Weekend

Denim! Dassah loves hats.

She moved right as the camera snapped the picture, but I love how blue her eyes are.

Cousins came back for Labor Day weekend. On Friday, we all went up on the mesa for a picnic.

Sitting on the shore

Watching cousins throw rocks in the water.

Papa took Abby, Emma, and Isaiah out in the canoe.

So fashionable. Sunglasses are nice when the sun is so bright.

Picnic! Cheetos are yummy.

She is always in motion.

"What? I'm not doing anything."

"Mommy, I'm too tired to hold my head up any longer."

What a pretty princess!

After cousins left, we went back up on the mesa and went fishing.

Look at that face! "No Papa! I don't want to get in the boat!"

Mommy and Papa went fishing from the canoe.

Dassah is "fishing" too. She has a bobber tied to the end of her stick, but it isn't in the water. See it under her chair?

So happy! Look at that big smile!

Another big smile!

"Peek-a-boo!"

Picking Apricots

This morning, we went out and picked apricots. Hadassah didn't quite understand getting them off the tree.

Right beside the apricot tree was a horse corral.

The horse loved apricots.

Dassah enjoyed carrying around our bucket.

The owner of the trees also gave us some cucumbers and tomatoes.
"Is anybody watching?"

"I'll just take a taste. Then I'll put it back."

Dassah's either saying, "This bucket's too heavy!" or "There's a fly bothering me!"

Papa Steve is on the ladder picking apricots and on the bottom rung is a little helper.

Shortly after the previous picture, the bucket of apricots fell off the top of the ladder. While we were picking them up, Dassah climbed up to the second rung.

I went to grab her and she tried to climb up to the third. I helped her up to the fourth rung, but by this time we were done picking apricots, so after putting Dassah on the ground, we put the ladder away.

"I want your camera, Mommy." If you look close, you can see one of her molars coming in.

Pictures and Videos

"I have my milk. I'm content."

Dassah LOVES pretty necklaces

We went to visit my grandparents a couple weekends ago. Dassah is helping Granny cook dinner.

PawPaw, Granny, Dassah, and Mama Lynn.

A four generation photo.

Last weekend Mom and Dad decided they needed to lay some new flooring in their upstairs. Instead of just doing it simple like it said on the box, one row after another, we decided to do a design, starting in the middle and working out. The pictures of the construction are mostly for my sisters' benefit since they've seen how it looked before.

Hadassah enjoys playing the piano.

Here is the finished floor. All the stuff along the walls is from the bedroom. We put flooring in there, too.

While we were at it, Dad also finished the stairs.

Dassah is getting very good at swinging on a big kid swing.

Mama Lynn "dances" to get in enough steps in a day. Dassah has started dancing with her.

When we went to Granny and PawPaw's house, we saw deer!

Dassah's going to be a very talented musician one day. :)

Testing a new camera

These pictures are in no particular order. They show how my new camera takes pictures, though.

Swinging on a big kid swing.

Pretty sweetheart

A storm at sunset over Grand Mesa.

You can't see it very well, but the cat scratched Dassah right above her left eye.

Testing out the sunset feature with Mom's sunflowers.

Playing with the Daddy and Mommy dolls.

Going up the slide.

Saturday!

Friday night, Dassah was tormenting Rista.

Saturday, we all took a trip up the mesa for a picnic and some other fun.

Bug spray? Check! Sunscreen? Check! Hats? Check! Let's have fun!

Papa brought his canoe. Mama Lynn and Papa are putting on life vests.

The "maiden voyage".

"Look at all this water, Mommy!"

Mama Lynn and Papa have a baby sized life vest, so Hadassah was able to go out in the canoe, too.

Dassah wasn't quite sure about the vest.

She didn't want Mommy to put her down. While we were out on the water, she did say "boat" a couple times.

A stump with a hole in it! The hole fascinated Dassah.

Checking out the log at the spot we chose for our fishing.

Helping Mama Lynn fish.

All tired out. Dassah finally succumbed to a nap in Mama Lynn's arms.

Inspecting our catch at the end of the day

"Wow! Fish are cool!"
