Maternity Photos

A couple weeks ago, Michael and I turned our living room into a photo studio and took several maternity pictures. Michael found it interesting to be the photographer AND the subject. It took him a little while to fix them up some, but here they are.

I saw something like this on a website too, and bought the shoes just so we could do a picture like this.

Baby pictures

Last Friday I had an appointment and when the doctor measured my belly, he thought I was measuring a little small, 31 inches when I should be at 34. To make sure the baby was developing okay, he scheduled me for another ultrasound. That was today. I knew she was fine since she is always moving around, but it was nice to be able to see her again. And, since the Air Force is paying for it, why not? First thing the ultrasound tech said was she's "still a girl". Here is a picture of her face, looking straight on. The white horizontal line is her nose, the oval shape right above it is her eye.

The tech said that she is weighing around 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and her heart rate is 158. Here is a picture of me in my maternity uniform, taken on Friday, 33 weeks, 6days.

As for the weather here; a week ago, we looked outside and saw this! Fresh snow!

Today though, this is what the front yard looks like. All the snow is gone from our yard. It will start turning green soon!!!

Easter

I'm 32 weeks now, and I finally have an obvious baby belly. I bought a couple sun dresses to wear so my belly will show a bit more. This one is floor length and actually has bright flowers up to about mid-calf, but they didn't get in the picture.

Look at how much snow we still have, even though it's April! It's a very nice day, though. Notice the grill? Michael grilled some chicken for our Easter dinner. I should have taken a picture of Michael, but I didn't think about it at the time.
This is what the temperature has been like for the past week or so. Our snow won't last too much longer. Come on Spring!

Belly Pictures

So I had Michael take some pictures about a week after my last post. He took them with his camera, though, which only downloads to his computer. Unfortunately, his computer crashed before we could transfer the pictures to my computer. Then we just never got around to taking more pictures. We just today finally took some pictures.

For comparison's sake, the first picture is when I am seven weeks pregnant, and the second is today, at 28 weeks. I'm in my third trimester!

It's a girl!

I had an ultrasound on the 18th, and we found out the baby is a girl! She wasn't wanting to cooperate with the ultrasound tech, though, and didn't want to roll over to let us see anything. One time when the lady moved her thing(don't know what it's called) down to look for little girl or boy parts, baby had a hand down between her legs. As for a name, we're pretty much settled on Hadassah Ruth.


I also am starting to round out, finally, and am gaining weight. I'll get Michael to take some pictures of me soon, and I'll post them.
